Weather Education 101

August 20, 2013 UPDATE: It looks like the Weather Channel has discontinued their Weather Kids program. Both direct links (#1 and #2) now redirect to their home page.

There are a lot of weather education resources out there (and we’re going to do our best to cover them all!) but one of our favorite sites is WeatherEd.

Welcome to WeatherED – short for Weather Education. WeatherED is like your very own online weather classroom. This is where you’ll learn everything you’ve ever wanted to know about the weather.

WeatherEd is part of the Weather Channel’s ever-growing list of awesome weather resources. There is a really well documented Weather Encyclopedia, a Glossary, an Online Resource Guide and a section for Teacher Resources.

The Weather Channel’s Kids section also has a Weather Center, Weather Games, Climate Code, Cool Clips and the WeatherREADY planning center.

How do you think you could use WeatherEd? Let us know in the Comments below!
